Corburn

James Coburn’s Ferrari was completed on March
5th 1961 and sold new to its first owner. The front-
engine V-12 280 bhp Ferrari was the thirteenth of
just fifty-six built.

Coburn, bought the convertible second-hand
shortly after completing "The Great Escape," in
1964. James sold the car in 1987 and it has had a
number of private owners since. Throughout
Coburn’s ownership, he repainted the vehicle three
times, first in dark blue, followed by silver and
finally burgundy.

James Coburn’s Ferrari 250 GT SWB California
Spyder, Chassis #2377 GT, was sold at auction at
the Ferrari Factory in Italy for $10,894,900.00
